Year Zero is a satire of our dysfunctional music industry. It is also humorous science fiction story similar to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” Rob Reid has assembled a number of smart, yet funny or silly encounters that gels into a wicked paste that makes the story hard to put down. No matter how crazy the story gets it all seems to work.
When I found out John Hodgman read the audio version I had to get it. Hodgman manages all the human and alien voices giving each their own texture.
