An Object Of Beauty by Steve Martin

An Object of Beauty

An Object of Beauty is an impressive novel- Is there anything Steve Martin can’t do well? Martin’s writing style reminds me of reading Somerset Maugham. The novel is urbane, cool, and amusing in places. There is some art history but nothing the reader needs to know in order to enjoy the story. The story takes place in New York City from 1993 to 2009, and is a character study of those in the art world.
