One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

One Hundred Years of Solitude

I think the book has defeated me.  I read a bunch of reviews about it, and while the author draws some noteworthy parallels to the bible and to real events in human lives, it’s just too much of a chore to continue.  Life’s too short to continue a book you don’t enjoy.  I’ll shelve it next to Joseph Heller’s “Something Happened” – another book I couldn’t finish.
