A classic thriller, My Cousin Rachel, opens with a confession.  Phillip, the heir to Ambrose Ashley’s estate, was raised by this man whom he loves more than anyone in the world.  When Ambrose suddenly marries cousin Rachel in a trip to Italy, Phillip find himself jealous at having to share Ambrose with her.  We find out in the opening pages that both Ambrose and Phillip are dead.  How did they die?  Was foul play involved?  You must read the pages the find out what led up to their deaths, all the while entertained by du Maurier’s hints, twists and turns.
