The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole by Sue Townsend

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4
Townsend has written this as a diary of a 13.75-year-old boy living in England. It starts on January 1st, 1981 and runs for 15 months. Adrian Mole is self-absorbed teenager. Weren’t we all. The humor comes from his insights and his inability to see what’s in front of him. Adrian dwells his home life, school, his friends, his acne problem, and other events in the area. Adrian’s got big plans and it is fun to see him go after them, especially as they fall apart.
This was an amusing books that’s an easy read. I’ll probably read all of them at some point. They make a nice change of pace to lighten the mood.
