Mentats Of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson

Mentats Of Dune

Continuing on with the Dune Prequels, Mentats of Dune focuses on Gilbertus Albans’ Mentat School, and the battle taking place between the Butlerians who seek a world without computers, and people like Joseph Venport, whose business employs both Navigators and computers in order to speed space travel.

I found this novel to be every bit as enjoyable as the others in the Dune series.  From Albans finally sharing the secret of Erasmus with the sister of the Emperor, to crazed Butlerlian fanatic Manford Torondo (reminiscent of Savanarola) wreaking havoc throughout the Empire, and Mother Superior Raquella’s dilemma over the future of the Sisterhood.  Never a dull moment and definitely a page turner!
