Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts

Chasing Fire

Let me say up front that modern romance novels are not my thing.  I grabbed this book originally because I needed a book sent in Montana for a book challenge, and ended up using it for a different task, requiring the word “fire” in the title.

The story is about fire jumpers – people who put their lives on the line, jumping out of airplanes to combat forest fires.  The main characters, Rowan and Gulliver manage to find heat between each other and danger in the form of sabotage and murder.  I was more interested in the process of fire jumping than the main characters jumping each other.  I wish Roberts had focused more of the former instead of the latter.  But that’s just me.  As I said, modern romance novels are not my thing.
